Create seamless Panorama Carousels for Instagram!

The Slice tool is one of Figma's awesome feature's that makes design easier and way better. But if you are new to design and the Figma software, you probably might have not used it before🙃-- which is ok because you do not know what to do with it.

Well, worry no more my friends, today we will look at one example in which the oh-so-great Slice Tool can be used😎✨.

Have you ever seen Instagram posts like this👇🏾?

If yes, then this is called a Panorama Post. It enables you to show huge pictures all at once but with a carousel effect making it fun and exciting for your followers.

These types of manipulations were only possible on design tools like Adobe Illustrator etc.

But, guess what?!

With the Slice tool in Figma, you can achieve this and more. Let's take a look👇🏾

Steps To Create The Panorama Effect.

First, create the frame for the design e.g IG post which is 1080px in width and height.

Next, type in 1080*2 in the width (W) section to make it two frames in one(2160).

Now, click and hold on to the frame tool to bring up other options, then click on the slice tool.

Holding down shift on your keyboard drag over the frame to create a perfect square of 1080 pixels. Do this on both sides.

Now you can start designing this frame and feel free to put objects in between the slices as they will be visible as well. After you are done designing on both sides and in the middle, click on each of the slices to export them.

Below is what it will look like when you are about to export:

Choose your resolution and format. And Voila, you’re done! 😍 Now, you can head over to Instagram and choose these two photos to post.

Remember, to choose the first slice before the other.

Conclusion

Congratulations!🥳 You can now create the Instagram Carousel Panorama Effect with Figma!
